The Food Procurement Circle was created to bring together experienced procurement professionals who understand the value of a good conversation before an important purchasing decision.
It is a private peer network built around quality — quality of discussion, quality of relationships, and quality of thinking.
I’m Rok from Slovenia, with a degree in Economics, followed by CAS postgraduate studies in Commodity Trading in Switzerland.
I’ve spent more than ten years working internationally across the commodity and food ingredient industry, with experience at multinational companies including ED&F Man, Ameropa and Golden Agri Resources in Singapore.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong passion for food commodities and the global supply chains behind them. I am working with a wide range of ingredients and raw materials, from cocoa in Africa and Latin America, to edible oils from Asia, sugar, sweeteners, fruits, nuts and other food ingredients.
Over the years, I’ve learned that procurement is about much more than finding a supplier and negotiating a price.
It is about understanding the market, the origin, the raw material, the application and the supply chain, and ultimately understanding what the factory really needs.
This experience led me to create the Food Procurement Circle.
I wanted to create a space where procurement professionals could step outside their individual companies, connect with peers, exchange experiences and have open conversations about the challenges they face every day.
Because sometimes, the most valuable insight doesn’t come from another report or another supplier.
It comes from talking to someone who is dealing with the same challenge.

The Food Procurement Circle is intentionally selective. We believe that the value of a professional community depends on the quality and relevance of the people inside it.
Our aim is simple: To create a trusted environment where experienced professionals can exchange perspectives, challenge their thinking, and learn from one another.
A secure, trusted environment.
Limited to relevant procurement professionals.
For people responsible for procurement and purchasing.
Exchange experience, not sales pitches.
Cross-border network across Europe.
Respect, confidentiality, and constructive discussion.
Have a question about the Food Procurement Circle, membership, or how the community works? Send us a message and we will get back to you.
